?? This post will maybe be a little bit longer than the previous ones because I will try to conclude all of the activities that we have done so far.<\/p>\n
Besides doing the sustainable and inclusive\/accesible camino, we’ve been exploring the caminos (silver and winter), making plans and marking all the possible points of interest for the future. Along the way we’ve met pilgrims and others…<\/p>\n
(there were also horses, but I forgot to take a picutre\u00a0 \ud83d\ude41 )<\/p>\n
Personally, I really enjoy going to our albergue. Since the people who work there don’t speak English at all, it’s a perfect way for me to practice my Spanish. I think that in general having real-life conversations and using every opportunity you have to practice a language, no matter the level, and not being worried about making mistakes, is the best way to advance in a language.<\/p>\n
Of course the albergue is also a perfect place to meet the pilgrims and learn from them. For example, recently we met a lovely lady from New Zealand who told us that because the visa issued by her country only allows her to stay in Europe for 90 days, she is taking the maximum out of it. So, since June 8th, when she started, she has done the Northern, Primitivo, Plata and is planning to continue with the Winter camino before returning to her starting point in France. It all seems a lot for me, but she was telling about her experience with a sincere ease and content.<\/p>\n
We’ve also had the opportunity to organise activities with people with disabilites in the Mouriscade recreative area, thanks to the Alcadeza oragnisation. The six of us had to prepare a presentation about our country of origin as well as some activities. I chose to teach how to braid a bracelet in the Estonian flag colors.<\/p>\n
My profession as the “influencer” of our group is still ongoing. We are filming and editing the “Word of the Week” video for it to be published on the XacobeAndo social media platforms. For me, it has become a fun activity and I would have never imagined that I would like it that much. The video editing apps allow to create very creative TikTok experiences.<\/p>\n
Story time.<\/p>\n
It turns out that once there lived a great scientist here in Lal\u00edn. His name was Don Ramon (Ram\u00f3n Mar\u00eda Aller Ulloa), a mathematician and an astronomer. Because of him, Lal\u00edn has it’s own observatory. It’s small, but significant.<\/p>\n
The house where he lived has now been turned into a museum. We went there in the evening hoping to obserse the stars, for which I was actually very excited, but unfortunately the weather was cloudy, so we had to resort to a computer program. Still, it was intersting because we learned how to distinguish some basic constellations and orient ourselves with the cardinal points. There were also some presentations about the life and work of Don Ramon and the moon phases.<\/p>\n
I believe he truly was an extraordinary man (he wrote 4 books, published 78 scientific articles, discovered 4 double stars that are logically named Aller 1, 2, 3 and 4, according to his counterparts he was a polyglot and spoke 10 languages) and the fact that he was from Lal\u00edn makes the local people obviously so proud that they have erected a statue in his honour.<\/p>\n
Of course when we work hard, we play hard. Every 3rd and 18th day of the month our local favorite Bar O Pincho is hosting a mini pulpo (octopus) festival. The fresh boiled octopus with olive oil, salt and some spices is a true delicacy.<\/p>\n
Last, but not least: it has now become a normal thing for me to walk on average around 10km per day and in fact it has become so normal for me that I almost forgot to write about, but still it’s a lot when I start to think about it.<\/p>\n
On a typical camino day we actually walk around 20km and you can see how my health trends have changed (my average walking distance has almost doubled ever since I started the project).<\/p>\n
So, in addition to sustainable, accessible, digital and inclusive camino, there could also be a healthy camino \ud83d\ude1b<\/p>\n

Adem\u00e1s de hacer el camino sostenible e inclusivo\/accesible, hemos estado explorando los caminos (plata e invierno), planificando y marcando todos los posibles puntos de inter\u00e9s para el futuro. Por el camino nos hemos encontrado con peregrinos y otros\u2026<\/p>\n
Personalmente, disfruto mucho ir a nuestro albergue. Como la gente que trabaja all\u00ed no habla nada de ingl\u00e9s, es una forma perfecta de practicar mi espa\u00f1ol. Creo que, en general, tener conversaciones de la vida real y aprovechar todas las oportunidades que tienes para practicar un idioma, sin importar el nivel, y no preocuparte por cometer errores, es la mejor manera de avanzar en un idioma.<\/p>\n
Por supuesto, el albergue tambi\u00e9n es un lugar perfecto para conocer a los peregrinos y aprender de ellos. Por ejemplo, recientemente conocimos a una encantadora dama de Nueva Zelanda que nos dijo que debido a que la visa emitida por su pa\u00eds solo le permite permanecer en Europa durante 90 d\u00edas, est\u00e1 aprovechando al m\u00e1ximo. As\u00ed que desde el 8 de junio que empez\u00f3, ha hecho el Camino del Norte, Primitivo, Plata y tiene previsto continuar con el camino de Invierno antes de volver a su punto de partida en Francia. Todo me parece mucho, pero ella contaba su experiencia con sincera naturalidad y contenido.<\/p>\n
Tambi\u00e9n hemos tenido la oportunidad de organizar actividades con personas con discapacidad en el \u00e1rea recreativa de Mouriscade, gracias a la organizaci\u00f3n Alcadeza. Los seis ten\u00edamos que preparar una presentaci\u00f3n sobre nuestro pa\u00eds de origen as\u00ed como algunas actividades. Eleg\u00ed ense\u00f1ar a trenzar una pulsera con los colores de la bandera de Estonia.<\/p>\n
Mi profesi\u00f3n como \u201cinfluencer\u201d de nuestro grupo sigue en curso. Estamos grabando y editando el v\u00eddeo \u201cPalabra de la semana\u201d para publicarlo en las redes sociales de XacobeAndo. Para m\u00ed se ha convertido en una actividad divertida y nunca hubiera imaginado que me iba a gustar tanto. Las aplicaciones de edici\u00f3n de video permiten crear experiencias TikTok muy creativas.<\/p>\n
La hora de los cuentos.<\/p>\n
Resulta que una vez vivi\u00f3 un gran cient\u00edfico aqu\u00ed en Lal\u00edn. Su nombre era Don Ram\u00f3n (Ram\u00f3n Mar\u00eda Aller Ulloa), matem\u00e1tico y astr\u00f3nomo. Gracias a \u00e9l, Lal\u00edn tiene su propio observatorio. Es peque\u00f1o, pero significativo.<\/p>\n

Por \u00faltimo, pero no menos importante: ahora se ha convertido en algo normal para m\u00ed caminar en promedio alrededor de 10 km por d\u00eda y, de hecho, se ha vuelto tan normal para m\u00ed que casi me olvido de escribir, pero a\u00fan as\u00ed es mucho cuando empiezo a Pi\u00e9nsalo.<\/p>\n
En un d\u00eda t\u00edpico de camino, en realidad caminamos alrededor de 20 km y puedes ver c\u00f3mo han cambiado mis tendencias de salud (mi distancia promedio de caminata casi se ha duplicado desde que comenc\u00e9 el proyecto).<\/p>\n
Entonces, adem\u00e1s de un camino sostenible, accesible, digital e inclusivo, tambi\u00e9n puede haber un camino saludable ?<\/p>\n
