?? One of the most beautiful places we visited is undoubtedly Samos.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0Samos is a little village 10 km far from Triacastela. The nature on the way is amazing and the scenario that opens in front of you when you get to the center of Samos is incredible as well!\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Samos, indeed, is famous for the historical Benedectine abbey, a real jewel of the VI sec, one of the most important Galicia\u2019s religious spots and the oldest inhabited monastery in Spain.<\/span><\/p>\n

Samos is nestled between hills that make up the Sierra de Oribio, surrounded by lush vegetation.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Sarria River, also called Oribio, crosses the entire town, hosting the main sites of interest on its banks.<\/span><\/p>\n

The first impression once I got there was of being catapulted into another time. The peaceful atmosphere you breathe all around the Monastery is as unreal as beautiful.<\/span><\/p>\n

Officially called the Royal Monastery of Saint Julian; the legend tells us that it was founded by Mart\u00edn de Braga, an apostle known in Galicia as San Marti\u00f1o de Dumio.<\/span><\/p>\n

After the Christian reconquest, the monastery had its greatest splendor. It has been a refuge for Alfonso II El Casto and since then it has been a mandatory stop on the Camino de Santiago.<\/p>\n

As its importance increased, its size also increased, for this reason, its design mixes Gothic, Renaissance, and Baroque elements.<\/span><\/p>\n

I recommend everyone to visit it if you are on the French Camino! It\u2019s Amazing!<\/span><\/p>\n

?? Uno de los lugares m\u00e1s bonitos que visitamos es sin duda Samos.<\/p>\n

Samos es un peque\u00f1o pueblo a 10 km de Triacastela. \u00a1La naturaleza en el camino es incre\u00edble y el escenario que se abre frente a ti cuando llegas al centro de Samos tambi\u00e9n es incre\u00edble!<\/p>\n

Samos, en efecto, es famosa por la hist\u00f3rica abad\u00eda benedictina, una aut\u00e9ntica joya del siglo VI, uno de los lugares religiosos m\u00e1s importantes de Galicia y el monasterio habitado m\u00e1s antiguo de Espa\u00f1a.<\/p>\n

Samos se encuentra enclavado entre los cerros que conforman la Sierra de Oribio, rodeado de una frondosa vegetaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n

El r\u00edo Sarria, tambi\u00e9n llamado Oribio, atraviesa todo el municipio, albergando en sus riberas los principales lugares de inter\u00e9s.<\/p>\n

La primera impresi\u00f3n una vez que llegu\u00e9 all\u00ed fue la de ser catapultado a otro tiempo. El ambiente de paz que se respira en todo el Monasterio es tan irreal como hermoso.<\/p>\n

Oficialmente llamado Real Monasterio de San Juli\u00e1n; cuenta la leyenda que fue fundado por Mart\u00edn de Braga, ap\u00f3stol conocido en Galicia como San Marti\u00f1o de Dumio.<\/p>\n

Tras la reconquista cristiana, el monasterio tuvo su mayor esplendor. Ha sido refugio de Alfonso II El Casto y desde entonces es parada obligatoria en el Camino de Santiago.<\/p>\n

A medida que aument\u00f3 su importancia, tambi\u00e9n aument\u00f3 su tama\u00f1o, por lo que su dise\u00f1o mezcla elementos g\u00f3ticos, renacentistas y barrocos.<\/p>\n

\u00a1Recomiendo a todos que lo visiten si est\u00e1n en el Camino Franc\u00e9s! \u00a1Es asombroso!<\/p>\n
