??\u00a0 One of the main reasons why I came here was to stay in contact with pilgrims and know their stories. I don\u2019t know what I was looking for exactly but I think I found out today.<\/span><\/p>\n

Today we set up a stand for the pilgrims in the Monasteiro de Couto (Naron), we provided snacks, fruit, camino shells and some motivational quotes to read along the way.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

As soon as we arrived the first pilgrim came, he was a young man coming from London, rather strange considering that despite it being the English way, the British people who actually make the journey are not many. He stopped to chat with us for half an hour, and he also told us a bit more about his life, and that he would love to live in Galicia one day because he loves the fresh weather here and it reminds him of England.<\/span><\/p>\n

He was so curious and fascinated about what we were doing there so we talked a bit about the project and ESC and before leaving he asked how old we were and he said \u2018\u2019guys I really wish I was like you in my early twenties\u2019\u2019 and he took a picture of us.<\/span><\/p>\n

I remember one of the tasks of the first days in Santiago was to write down the footprint we wanted to leave at the end of this project,\u00a0 mine was to be somehow an inspiration for someone, and I think today I have taken a small step towards the deception of this goal.<\/span><\/p>\n

Then a German woman arrived, she didn\u2019t take anything from the stand but we had the opportunity to talk for a while and her story was so inspiring.<\/span><\/p>\n

This wasn\u2019t her first time doing the camino, actually she did all the official roads to go to Santiago, like the French and the Portuguese one, one time she also started the camino from her house in Germany and another time she started it in Seville.<\/span><\/p>\n

Now she\u2019s doing\u00a0 the English way as a challenge with herself because last year she broke her limb helping people after a flood.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Last but not least, four high school students from Madrid stopped by to eat something and have a rest so we had the opportunity to promote the project and ESC as a new way of traveling for young people. It was so beautiful to see such young people take this kind of trip.<\/span><\/p>\n

?? Una de las principales razones por las que vine aqu\u00ed fue para estar en contacto con los peregrinos y conocer sus historias. No s\u00e9 qu\u00e9 estaba buscando exactamente, pero creo que lo descubr\u00ed hoy.<\/p>\n

Hoy montamos un stand para los peregrinos en el Monasteiro de Couto (Naron), les dimos merienda, fruta, conchas y algunas frases motivacionales para leer en el camino.<\/p>\n

Nada m\u00e1s llegar lleg\u00f3 el primer peregrino, era un joven que ven\u00eda de Londres, algo raro teniendo en cuenta que a pesar de ser el camino ingl\u00e9s, los brit\u00e1nicos que realmente hacen el viaje no son muchos. Se detuvo a charlar con nosotros durante media hora, y tambi\u00e9n nos cont\u00f3 un poco m\u00e1s sobre su vida, y que le encantar\u00eda vivir alg\u00fan d\u00eda en Galicia porque le encanta el clima fresco de aqu\u00ed y le recuerda a Inglaterra.<\/p>\n

Ten\u00eda curiosidad y estaba fascinado sobre lo que est\u00e1bamos haciendo all\u00ed, as\u00ed que hablamos un poco sobre el proyecto y sobre el CES. Antes de irse, pregunt\u00f3 cu\u00e1ntos a\u00f1os ten\u00edamos y dijo “chicos, realmente desear\u00eda ser como vosotros a los veinte a\u00f1os”. y nos sac\u00f3 una foto.<\/p>\n

Recuerdo que una de las tareas de los primeros d\u00edas en Santiago fue escribir la huella que quer\u00edamos dejar al final de este proyecto, la m\u00eda era ser de alguna manera una inspiraci\u00f3n para alguien, y creo que hoy he dado un peque\u00f1o paso hacia este objetivo.<\/p>\n

Luego lleg\u00f3 una mujer alemana, no se llev\u00f3 nada del stand pero tuvimos la oportunidad de conversar un rato y su historia fue muy inspiradora.<\/p>\n

No era la primera vez que hac\u00eda el camino, de hecho hizo todos los caminos oficiales para ir a Santiago, como el franc\u00e9s y el portugu\u00e9s, una vez tambi\u00e9n empez\u00f3 el camino desde su casa en Alemania y otra vez lo empez\u00f3 en Sevilla.<\/p>\n

Ahora est\u00e1 haciendo el ingl\u00e9s como un desaf\u00edo consigo misma porque el a\u00f1o pasado se rompi\u00f3 una extremidad ayudando a la gente despu\u00e9s de una inundaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n

Por \u00faltimo, pero no menos importante, cuatro estudiantes de secundaria de Madrid se detuvieron para comer algo y descansar, por lo que tuvimos la oportunidad de promover el proyecto y CES como una nueva forma de viajar para los j\u00f3venes. Fue tan hermoso ver a gente tan joven hacer este tipo de viaje.<\/p>\n
