This week we have been doing mostly digital camino. On the 15th of August we had a free day, since it was a holiday in Spain. At the beginning of the week we also had a Spanish lesson. I was so lost because I don’t understand nor speak Spanish at all.<\/p>\n

In the beginning of the week, we worked in the office in Ferrol. On Tuesday and Wednesday we published posts on social media and also some articles in here.\u00a0 We also made a poster about European Solidarity Corps. We rearranged it over and over again almost 20 times (but I did not count the exact number of times we altered it). The one that we finished at first and the one that was the final product looked really different at the end. We added logos, deleted some excessive objects and decorations and corrected typos many many times. When we finished, we were so happy that it was finally done.<\/p>\n

As they say: \u201eTeam work makes the dream work\u201d.<\/strong><\/p>\n

On Thursday we went to our office in Neda, finished the social media posts and started to work on geocaching. I was looking into geocaching on Wednesday, but I was so confused since there were so many rules (and honestly, I hate reading the long instructions). At first, we checked out the website and after that we went outside to find a good hiding place for the cache. To my surprise, finding a good spot was not that easy, because you have to consider so many things (example wind, accessibility, street cleaners etc.). You also have to hide it somewhere where only the people playing geocache will find it (not some random passer\u2013by). At last, we managed to find a quite good hiding spot. Then we went back in the office and our mentor bought smaller boxes to make the cache fit better in the hiding place. Since the boxes\/jars were made from glass, we covered them with tape to make them harder to break and also to make them harder to spot right away. When the prize was in the jar and the jar was taped, we finally hid it and finished setting the cache up in the app\/website. We also wrote some informational and historical text about the place near the cache (you can see that on the geochaching app\/website- there is a pin on Neda). There’s also a small hint.<\/p>\n

Esta semana hemos estado haciendo principalmente camino digital. El 15 de agosto tuvimos d\u00eda libre, ya que era fiesta en Espa\u00f1a. Al comienzo de la semana tambi\u00e9n tuvimos una lecci\u00f3n de espa\u00f1ol. Estaba tan perdido porque no entiendo ni hablo espa\u00f1ol en absoluto.<\/span><\/p>\n

A principios de semana trabajamos en la oficina de Ferrol. El martes y mi\u00e9rcoles publicamos publicaciones en las redes sociales y tambi\u00e9n algunos art\u00edculos aqu\u00ed. Tambi\u00e9n hicimos un cartel sobre el Cuerpo Europeo de Solidaridad. Lo reorganizamos una y otra vez casi 20 veces (pero no cont\u00e9 el n\u00famero exacto de veces que lo modificamos). El que terminamos al principio y el que era el producto final se ve\u00edan muy diferentes al final. Agregamos logotipos, eliminamos algunos objetos y decoraciones excesivos y corregimos errores tipogr\u00e1ficos muchas veces. Cuando terminamos, est\u00e1bamos tan felices de que finalmente se hizo.<\/p>\n

Como dicen: \u201cEl trabajo en equipo hace que los sue\u00f1os funcionen\u201d.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

El jueves fuimos a nuestra oficina en Neda, terminamos las publicaciones en las redes sociales y comenzamos a trabajar en GeoCaching. Estuve investigando geocaching el mi\u00e9rcoles, pero estaba muy confundido porque hab\u00eda tantas reglas (y, sinceramente, odio leer las instrucciones largas). Al principio, revisamos el sitio web y luego salimos a buscar un buen escondite para el cach\u00e9. Para mi sorpresa, encontrar un buen lugar no fue tan f\u00e1cil, porque hay que tener en cuenta muchas cosas (por ejemplo, viento, accesibilidad, limpieza de calles, etc.). Tambi\u00e9n tienes que esconderlo en alg\u00fan lugar donde solo lo encuentren las personas que juegan GeoCache (no alg\u00fan transe\u00fante al azar). Por fin, logramos encontrar un buen escondite. Luego volvimos a la oficina y nuestro mentor compr\u00f3 cajas m\u00e1s peque\u00f1as para que el cach\u00e9 encajara mejor en el escondite. Dado que las cajas\/frascos estaban hechos de vidrio, los cubrimos con cinta adhesiva para que fueran m\u00e1s dif\u00edciles de romper y tambi\u00e9n para que fueran m\u00e1s dif\u00edciles de detectar de inmediato. Cuando el premio estaba en el frasco y el frasco estaba grabado, finalmente lo escondimos y terminamos de configurar el cach\u00e9 en la aplicaci\u00f3n\/sitio web. Tambi\u00e9n escribimos un texto informativo e hist\u00f3rico sobre el lugar cerca del cach\u00e9 (puedes verlo en la aplicaci\u00f3n\/sitio web de geochaching, hay un pin en Neda). <\/span>Tambi\u00e9n hay una peque\u00f1a pista.<\/span><\/p>\n
