<\/p>\nNot only\u00a0 helping in the camino, the Tui’s group is also doing activities for the local community.<\/p>\n
The original idea was to do a “Volunteering week”, where during all the week long one member per group lead an activity every day; for external reason we haven’t had the possibility to develop this week but, we reinvented! The “format” was basically the same, so every member of the group lead an activity, but we had to change a bit our plans and also the dates. In this post i’ll explain briefly some (not all) of the activities that we’ve done.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
ACTIVITY 1: Inclusive walk with people with disabilities.<\/p>\n
The first activity was a walk with San Xerome Association from a nearby town, A Guarda, that comes to Tui to have a short walk with us. People from that association had different difficulties, from mentally to phisically, and was not so easy for us to deal with them but, with the help of our and them cordinators, we spent a very nice morning and learnt a lot of new things.<\/p>\n

ACTIVITY 2: ESC presentation in the youth centre.<\/p>\n
To promote our activities and to spread knowledge about our volunteering we decided to have a presentation about what ESC Projects are and our experience, in order to let the youngsters know about the possibility of exploring Europe helping other people. The presentation was made in english, since it’s very important to communicate with people from all over the world in these project. It was a very interesting morning where we helped almost 10 youngsters to know what they wanna do in their next future.<\/p>\n

ACTIVITY 3: “Guess where i’m from” game.<\/p>\n
Last but not least we have decided to mix games and information in the streets of Tui. We’ve done a small game where tourists and local people try to guess where the volunteer comes from by small challenges like trying to guess from a typical song or from a tradition of that country. That’s not all, because we installed also an Infopoint where people that participated in that game received a small gift (typical spanish sweets) and information about ESC.<\/p>\n

In general, all the activities were really funny and we learned and taught a lot of new things!<\/p>\n

No solo ayudando en el camino, el grupo de Tui tambi\u00e9n est\u00e1 haciendo actividades para la comunidad local.<\/p>\n

La idea original era hacer una “Semana del Voluntariado”, donde durante toda la semana un miembro por grupo liderara una actividad todos los d\u00edas; por motivos externos no hemos tenido la posibilidad de desarrollar esta semana pero, \u00a1nos reinventamos!\u00a0 El “formato” era b\u00e1sicamente el mismo, as\u00ed que cada miembro del grupo dirig\u00eda una actividad, pero tuvimos que cambiar un poco nuestros planes y tambi\u00e9n las fechas. En este post explicar\u00e9 brevemente algunas (no todas) de las actividades que hemos realizado.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
ACTIVIDAD 1: Paseo inclusivo con personas con discapacidad.<\/p>\n
La primera actividad fue un paseo con la Asociaci\u00f3n San Xerome de un pueblo cercano, A Guarda, que viene a Tui a dar un peque\u00f1o paseo con nosotros. Las personas de esa asociaci\u00f3n ten\u00edan diferentes dificultades, desde mentales hasta f\u00edsicas, y no fue tan f\u00e1cil para nosotros tratar con ellos pero, con la ayuda de nuestros y sus coordinadores, pasamos una ma\u00f1ana muy agradable y aprendimos muchas cosas nuevas.<\/p>\n

ACTIVIDAD 2: Presentaci\u00f3n CES en el Espazo Xove.<\/p>\n
Para promover nuestras actividades y difundir el conocimiento sobre nuestro voluntariado, decidimos hacer una presentaci\u00f3n sobre lo que son los Proyectos CES y nuestra experiencia, para que los j\u00f3venes conozcan la posibilidad de explorar Europa ayudando a otras personas. La presentaci\u00f3n se hizo en ingl\u00e9s, ya que es muy importante para comunicar con personas de todo el mundo en estos proyectos. Fue una ma\u00f1ana muy interesante en la que ayudamos a casi 10 j\u00f3venes a saber qu\u00e9 quieren hacer en su pr\u00f3ximo futuro.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
ACTIVIDAD 3: Juego “Adivina de d\u00f3nde soy”.<\/p>\n
Por \u00faltimo, pero no menos importante, hemos decidido mezclar juegos e informaci\u00f3n en las calles de Tui. Hemos hecho un peque\u00f1o juego en el que los turistas y la gente local tratan de adivinar de d\u00f3nde viene el voluntario mediante peque\u00f1os desaf\u00edos como tratar de adivinar de una canci\u00f3n t\u00edpica o de una tradici\u00f3n de ese pa\u00eds. Eso no es todo, porque tambi\u00e9n instalamos un punto de informaci\u00f3n donde las personas que participaron en ese juego recibieron un peque\u00f1o regalo (dulces t\u00edpicos espa\u00f1oles) e informaci\u00f3n sobre CES.<\/p>\n

En general, todas las actividades fueron muy divertidas y aprendimos y ense\u00f1amos muchas cosas nuevas.<\/p>\n
