On Tuesday, 23 of August, and Wednesday, 24 of August,\u00a0 we met some people with disabilities. They were all so motivated and happy that they were about to do the Camino. For some of them, it was their first Camino so the hopes were up. We all gathered in the port of Ferrol, near the Ferrol sign. We took some pictures together and started our journey.<\/p>\n
We talked to some people and asked about their previous experience and why they chose to do the Camino. One woman, Vanessa, had done the French Camino previously. She told us that she did it with her dog, but the dog was tired most of the time so it was not that easy. Luckily, she had a chihuahua, so carrying her companion was not a problem. Vanessa chose to do the Camino, because physical movement and spending time in nature makes her happy and she feels more alive. We also found out that it was her birthday that day, and she turned 41. She was very full of energy and even played geocaching on the Camino.<\/p>\n
There was also one man, named Rodi, who did the Camino with a wheelchair-bicycle. He had bought it and made some changes to it, so in the end it looked really cool. He was born in Barcelona. This was his first real Camino. Before, he had done several trails in Catalu\u00f1a. He also had a YouTube channel and he made vlogs about his journey on the Camino. His positive energy was really motivating and he always made some jokes. Sometimes, when he drove down some smaller hills, people would all watch that and applaud in the end. In one place, there was a hill and a house next to it. Even the people living in the house came out and gave a big applause to him.<\/p>\n
There was also one lady, whose name was Isabel. She was 42 years old and originally a nurse.\u00a0 After having a stroke, her life was not the same anymore. She did an absolutely good job on the Camino and enjoyed her journey with other people around her. It was also her first Camino, so she was really happy that she had an opportunity to be on this amazing journey.<\/p>\n
It was so motivating to see the group\u2019s big spirit and the smiles on their faces. Some of them were a bit tired at the end of the first day, but the motivation to do the Camino had not disappeared at all. They are the living proof that anything is possible if you believe in yourself.<\/p>\n

El martes 23 de agosto y el mi\u00e9rcoles 24 de agosto conocimos a algunas personas con discapacidad. Todos estaban motivados y felices por hacer el Camino. Para algunos de ellos era su primer Camino por lo que las esperanzas estaban altas. Nos reunimos todos en el puerto de Ferrol, cerca del inicio de la ruta. Nos tomamos algunas fotos juntos y comenzamos nuestro viaje.<\/p>\n
Hablamos con algunas personas y les preguntamos sobre su experiencia previa y por qu\u00e9 eligieron hacer el Camino. Una mujer, Vanessa, hab\u00eda hecho el Camino Franc\u00e9s anteriormente. Nos dijo que lo hizo con su perro, pero el perro estaba cansado la mayor parte del tiempo, as\u00ed que no fue tan f\u00e1cil. Por suerte, ten\u00eda un chihuahua, as\u00ed que llevar a su acompa\u00f1ante no fue un problema. Vanessa eligi\u00f3 hacer el Camino, porque el movimiento f\u00edsico y pasar tiempo en la naturaleza la hace feliz y se siente m\u00e1s viva. Tambi\u00e9n nos enteramos de que ese d\u00eda era su cumplea\u00f1os y cumpli\u00f3 41 a\u00f1os. Estaba muy llena de energ\u00eda e incluso jug\u00f3 al geocaching en el Camino.<\/p>\n
Tambi\u00e9n hab\u00eda un hombre, llamado Rodi, que hizo el Camino en silla de ruedas. La hab\u00eda comprado y le hab\u00eda hecho algunos cambios, as\u00ed que al final se ve\u00eda genial. Era originario de Barcelona. Este fue su primer Camino real. Antes hab\u00eda hecho varios senderos en Catalu\u00f1a. Tambi\u00e9n ten\u00eda un canal de YouTube y hac\u00eda vlogs sobre su viaje por el Camino. Su energ\u00eda positiva era muy motivadora y siempre hac\u00eda bromas. A veces, cuando conduc\u00eda por algunas colinas m\u00e1s peque\u00f1as, la gente miraba y aplaud\u00eda al final. En un lugar, hab\u00eda una colina y una casa al lado. Incluso las personas que viv\u00edan en la casa salieron y le dieron un gran aplauso.<\/p>\n
Tambi\u00e9n hab\u00eda una se\u00f1ora, cuyo nombre era Isabel. Ten\u00eda 42 a\u00f1os y originalmente era enfermera. Despu\u00e9s de sufrir un derrame cerebral, su vida ya no era la misma. Hizo un trabajo absolutamente bueno en el Camino y disfrut\u00f3 de su viaje con otras personas a su alrededor. Tambi\u00e9n era su primer Camino, por lo que estaba muy feliz de tener la oportunidad de estar en este incre\u00edble viaje.<\/p>\n
Fue muy motivador ver el gran esp\u00edritu del grupo y las sonrisas en sus rostros. Algunos de ellos estaban un poco cansados al final del primer d\u00eda, pero la motivaci\u00f3n por hacer el Camino no hab\u00eda desaparecido del todo.
