Fairwell post or &#8220;you never know how the food tastes until it&#8217;s served&#8221;<\/strong><\/p>\n<div>This is how a cherished friend of mine always responds when I ask him how he feels about something that is still in process. As this volunteering still misses some hours of slow cooking, I&#8217;ll mostly focus on the recipe instead: two months of summertime in Galicia. Two months that were supposed to work as a bridge between the locals and the pilgrims for me in my capacity as a volunteer and between my life in Greece and that in Spain for me as a european citizen. My plan was to get to know the region better, to try to familiarize myself with its climate, its local language, its culture&#8230;<\/div>\n<div>The &#8220;truth&#8221; is that Galicia as any other generalisation, is not homogeneous at all. I did adapt to a certain climate, a certain language, a certain culture. Does this adaptation have anything to do with the one I was planning or, at least, to the one I could find useful after my return to Santiago in two weeks for the beginning of my master? Como a este voluntariado todav\u00eda le faltan algunas horas a fuego lento, me centrar\u00e9 m\u00e1s en la receta: dos meses de verano en Galicia. Dos meses que se supon\u00eda que iban a funcionar como un puente entre los lugare\u00f1os y los peregrinos para m\u00ed en mi calidad de voluntaria y entre mi vida en Grecia y la de Espa\u00f1a para m\u00ed como ciudadana europea. Mi plan era conocer mejor la regi\u00f3n, tratar de familiarizarme con su clima, su lengua local, su cultura&#8230;<\/div>\n<div>La &#8220;verdad&#8221; es que Galicia como cualquier otra generalizaci\u00f3n, no es nada homog\u00e9nea. Me adapt\u00e9 a cierto clima, cierto idioma, cierta cultura. \u00bfTiene algo que ver esta adaptaci\u00f3n con la que estaba planeando o, al menos, con la que me podr\u00eda resultar \u00fatil tras mi regreso a Santiago dentro de dos semanas para el inicio de mi m\u00e1ster?
