Nuestros interlocutores mencionan la inmensa riqueza y reconocimiento social que supuso para una familia la adquisici\u00f3n de un burro, el impacto que tuvo en sus ingresos, en la eficiencia de su trabajo\u2026 Tambi\u00e9n mencionan c\u00f3mo este s\u00edmbolo se ha desgastado por completo en estos d\u00edas.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"><em>-Sin embargo, hoy no quieres el burro porque significa mucho trabajo<\/em>, dice M.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"><em>-Hoy en d\u00eda los burros andan sueltos porque nadie los quiere<\/em>, a\u00f1ade P.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201c<em>Despu\u00e9s vino la bicicleta que iban con sus novias detr\u00e1s en el sill\u00edn y la novia de lado<\/em>\u201d (todos se r\u00eden)<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Otro s\u00edmbolo de riqueza era el directamente relacionado con la cantidad de alimentos disponibles y almacenados por familia. Cuanto m\u00e1s grande era el granero, m\u00e1s comida se almacenaba en su interior, m\u00e1s rica era la familia propietaria. Lo mismo funcion\u00f3 con el pajar.<\/span><\/p>\n<h4><strong>Symbols of wealth<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p><b><i>\u201cDuring those times having a donkey was equivalent to having a mercedes nowadays.\u201d<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">It is with this comparison that our conversation about the symbols of prosperity in an agricultural society starts. Our interlocutors mention the immense wealth and social recognition the acquisition of a donkey meant for a family, the impact it had to their income, to\u00a0 the efficiency of their work\u2026 They also mention how this symbol has been completely worn out these days.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"><em>-Yet, today you don\u2019t want the donkey because it means a lot of wor<\/em>k, says M.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"><em>-Nowadays donkeys are hanging around free because no one wants them<\/em>, adds P.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201c<em>Then the motorcycle arrived and guys were driving with their girlfriends seated at the back<\/em>\u201d (they all laugh)\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Another symbol of wealth was that directly related to the amount of food that was available and stored per family. The bigger the granary was, the more food was stored inside, the wealthier the family that owned it was.
