??\u00a0On the 11th of October, the team of volunteers in Lugo prepared a stand near one of the pilgrims\u2019 hostels in the city. The pilgrims had the opportunity to have some coffee and cookies, tell us about their experience on the way and learn about the history of the Camino by playing a respective trivia game. We also told them a little bit about ourselves and our cause in the European Solidarity Corps.<\/span><\/p>\n

During the few hours we stayed there, we met pilgrims from Spain, Brazil and Lithuania. Though a few pilgrims avoided us (likely thinking that we wanted to sell them something), we were also able to talk to many inspiring people who had interesting stories and encouraging words to tell and beautiful pictures to show from their pilgrimage.<\/span><\/p>\n

As we have learned from our encounters with pilgrims, they do enjoy meeting other people and sharing their stories and are excited to have other activities on their pilgrimage besides walking, reflecting and enjoying the view. They have given us wonderful ideas for activities that they would enjoy and we will try to make them into reality during\u00a0the weeks that we have left in this project.<\/span><\/p>\n

?? El pasado 11 de octubre, el equipo de voluntarios de Lugo prepar\u00f3 un stand cerca de uno de los albergues de peregrinos de la ciudad. Los peregrinos tuvieron la oportunidad de tomar caf\u00e9 y galletas, contarnos su experiencia en el camino y conocer la historia del Camino jugando un juego de trivial. Tambi\u00e9n les contamos un poco sobre nosotros y nuestra proyecto en el Cuerpo Europeo de Solidaridad.<\/p>\n

Durante las pocas horas que estuvimos all\u00ed, nos encontramos con peregrinos de Espa\u00f1a, Brasil y Lituania. Aunque algunos peregrinos nos evitaron (probablemente pensando que quer\u00edamos venderles algo), tambi\u00e9n pudimos hablar con muchas personas inspiradoras que ten\u00edan historias interesantes y palabras alentadoras que contar y bellas im\u00e1genes para mostrar de su peregrinaje.<\/p>\n

Como hemos aprendido de nuestros encuentros con peregrinos, ellos disfrutan conocer a otras personas y compartir sus historias y est\u00e1n emocionados de tener otras actividades en su peregrinaje adem\u00e1s de caminar, reflexionar y disfrutar de la vista. Nos han dado ideas maravillosas para actividades que les gustar\u00edan y trataremos de hacerlas realidad durante las semanas que nos quedan en este proyecto.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
