?? While the first week was more about settling down in our new home, the second has already been very productive. On Monday we walked the camino and cleaned it from trash. There were lots of different items scattered across the road, of which we finally got together multiple bags. The good news is that most of the trash was clearly from years ago, so maybe people have gotten more aware of their actions in recent years.<\/p>\n
We’ve also started planning for a pilgrim festival which we have this weekend. We have our own stand and will create posters with information about our cultures and the ESC. We will also create a map for the pilgrims to mark their origin. As there are lots of pilgrims passing through Triacastela, we hope that by the end of the day we will have a map full of markings everywhere.<\/p>\n
We’ve also started doing shifts at the local pilgrim hostel, mainly helping the pilgrims with easier questions and acting as translators for people who can’t speak Spanish.<\/p>\n
?? Si bien la primera semana se trat\u00f3 m\u00e1s de establecernos en nuestro nuevo hogar, la segunda ya ha sido muy productiva. El lunes recorrimos el camino y lo limpiamos de basura. Hab\u00eda muchos art\u00edculos diferentes esparcidos por el camino, de los cuales finalmente reunimos varias bolsas. La buena noticia es que la mayor parte de la basura era claramente de hace a\u00f1os, por lo que tal vez la gente se haya vuelto m\u00e1s consciente de sus acciones en los \u00faltimos a\u00f1os.<\/p>\n
Tambi\u00e9n hemos comenzado a planificar un festival de peregrinos que tenemos este fin de semana. Tenemos nuestro propio stand y crearemos carteles con informaci\u00f3n sobre nuestras culturas y el CES. Tambi\u00e9n crearemos un mapa para que los peregrinos marquen su origen. Como hay muchos peregrinos de paso por Triacastela, esperamos que al final del d\u00eda tengamos un mapa lleno de marcas por todas partes.<\/p>\n
Tambi\u00e9n comenzamos a hacer turnos en el albergue de peregrinos local, principalmente ayudando a los peregrinos con preguntas m\u00e1s f\u00e1ciles y actuando como traductores para las personas que no pueden hablar espa\u00f1ol.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
