Fascinating body painting activity

?? Having the privilege to participate and interact among the ONCE program, as an event coordinator was truly an unforgettable experience. To be frank, the planning and stress which is involved in the actual planning of activities (as complete novices) was quite a handful. BUT, seeing the happiness and excitement of the children there was truly one of the best rewards we could’ve hoped for.

An activity, founded by Martina, was truly a fan-favourite – body painting/painting with your body. After the struggle of finding big enough bed sheets to act as a canvas the rest followed with quite an ease (suprisingly). The kids were divided into 3 groups and given 3 contrasting songs, based on various emotions and states of mind. The youth was then given free opportunity to FULLY express themselves by the medium of painting. The youngster had a field day and after a “post-game interview” with them, the kids confirmed our assumption – it was fun!

?? Tener el privilegio de participar e interactuar en el programa de la ONCE, como coordinador de eventos, fue realmente una experiencia inolvidable. Para ser franco, la planificación y el estrés que implica la planificación real de las actividades (como novatos completos) fue bastante difícil. PERO, ver la felicidad y el entusiasmo de los niños fue realmente una de las mejores recompensas que podríamos haber esperado.

Una actividad, creada por Martina, fue una de las favoritas: pintura corporal/pintar con tu cuerpo. Después de la lucha por encontrar sábanas lo suficientemente grandes como para actuar como un lienzo, el resto siguió con bastante facilidad (sorprendentemente). Los niños se dividieron en 3 grupos y se les dieron 3 canciones contrastantes, basadas en diversas emociones y estados de ánimo. A los jóvenes se les dio entonces la oportunidad de expresarse COMPLETAMENTE por medio de la pintura. Tuvimos un día de campo y después de una “entrevista posterior al juego” con ellos, los niños confirmaron nuestra suposición: ¡fue divertido!
