Last camino of the summer

?? This week we did our last caminos and I enjoyed it more than ever. Not just because we saw different part of the Silver way than before, but as well the weather was really pleasant and the quiet nature and persistance of the way make me think about the long journey that we made and of all the lessons that we learnt from each other.

The volunteering service was full of unexpected obstacles and experiences that made us grow in a way we probably never thought about. There were better days, worse days, moments of learning and moments of trying new things. There were times when we needed to adapt our habits and times when we needed to insist on our values and way of life.

There are more routes to choose from to reach Santiago the Compostela and as well there are more ways that a person can choose from to fulfill their life path. Not all are suitable for everyone, but each of them can have its own beauty, when you look for it. And even after reaching Santiago, it is actually not the end of the Camino, because the route continues further to Fisterra – the same is with our lives.

I am grateful for all that I learned not only about the route but mostly about myself and I believe that the journey change you, not in a way you wish but in a way you need.

?? Esta semana hicimos nuestros últimos caminos y lo disfruté más que nunca. No solo porque vimos una parte diferente del Camino de la Plata que antes, sino que también el clima era realmente agradable y la naturaleza tranquila y la persistencia del camino me hacen pensar en el largo viaje que hicimos y en todas las lecciones que aprendimos de El uno al otro.

El servicio de voluntariado estuvo lleno de obstáculos inesperados y experiencias que nos hicieron crecer de una manera que probablemente nunca pensamos. Hubo días mejores, días peores, momentos de aprendizaje y momentos de probar cosas nuevas. Hubo momentos en los que necesitábamos adaptar nuestros hábitos y momentos en los que necesitábamos insistir en nuestros valores y forma de vida.

Hay más rutas entre las que elegir para llegar a Santiago de Compostela y también hay más caminos entre los que una persona puede elegir para cumplir su camino de vida. No todas son aptas para todos, pero cada una de ellas puede tener su propia belleza, cuando la buscas. E incluso después de llegar a Santiago, en realidad no es el final del Camino, porque la ruta continúa más allá de Fisterra, lo mismo ocurre con nuestras vidas.

Estoy agradecido por todo lo que aprendí no solo sobre la ruta sino sobre todo sobre mí mismo y creo que el viaje te cambia, no de la manera que deseas sino de la manera que necesitas.
