We are back.

Imagine that, in the future, you decide to walk St. James Way (Camino de Santiago) with your son on a bike. This is the story of Israel.

The 44-year-old from Badajoz decided to start the French Way last August 15th from Ponferrada by bike with his 3-year-old son, in a children’s bike trailer.

Although he is just starting out with the experience, for him the important thing is how he lives it. “The Camino is perseverance and effort, there are stages that are harder and you have negative thoughts or want to give up; but it is a decision that you have made.”

The reasons for taking this path are very diverse, but hers is somewhat special: his son. The Camino is the perfect journey to create a connection with the little ones while getting to know and overcome the limits and fears you thought you had. “I had very low expectations but with the great hospitality of the little towns and the very kind people I have met, expectations are climbing really fast”; he is so comfortable that he still laughs about when he flipped the child’s trailer on a curve that he felt like Indurian in the Tour de France.

This incredible testimony is a fantastic story of what could be our future, your future.

Imagina que, en el futuro, decides hacer el Camino de Santiago con tu hijo en bici. Esta es la historia de Israel.

El joven pacense de 44 años decidió comenzar el Camino Francés el pasado 15 de agosto desde Ponferrada en bicicleta junto a su hijo de 3 años, en un remolque de bicicleta para niños.

Aunque está comenzando con la experiencia, para él lo importante es cómo se vive. “El Camino es constancia y esfuerzo, hay etapas que son más duras y tienes pensamientos negativos o ganas de rendirte; pero es una decisión que has tomado tú”.

Los motivos para tomar este camino son muy diversos, pero el suyo es un tanto especial: su hijo. El Camino es el viaje perfecto para crear una conexión con los más pequeños mientras conoces y superas los límites y miedos que creías tener. “Tenía unas expectativas muy bajas pero con la gran hospitalidad de los pueblitos y las personas tan amables que he conocido están subiendo de manera bestial”, está tan cómodo que todavía se ríe de cuando se volcó el remolque del niño en una curva que se sentía como Indurian en el Tour de Francia.

Este increíble testimonio es una fantástica historia del que podría ser nuestro futuro, tú futuro.
