Folk-based activities presented to the youth of the Blind Center

?? While taking full advantage of our widely diverse group, it only made sense to conduct a brief BUT a thorough introductory presentation of the experiences and various cultural aspects that might be not so well known by foreigners.

Presented by Karl was a perfunctory as well as elementary historical overview of the historical past of his Motherland, Estonia. Among the introduced were the elementary truths about the country, including a handful of compelling factual statements regarding some lesser acknowledged events and fundamental truths.

Charming and distinctful dance performances were conducted by both Nikoleta and Martina (from Greece and Italy respectively). Indeed the numbers were quite peculiar, nevertheless the exhilaration and enthusiasm was certainly in the air from the children’s behalf.

The Spanish, so-called señorita, Micaela, illuminated the participants with a rather enjoyable and engaging ‘game’. The simplicity was of vital importance and allowed the game-like activity to truly flourish among the youngsters.

On Annija’s behalf, enlightening and rather compelling factual statements were introduced to the listeners. With some well executed humor added into the mix, the outcome showed a rather positive reaction by the crowd. Last, but definitely not the least, ‘exotic’ delicacies were handed out as portal, if you may, to the rich, deep, dazzling and varied experience, which is the Latvian cuisine.

?? Mientras aprovechaba al máximo nuestro grupo tan diverso, solo tenía sentido realizar una breve pero completa presentación introductoria de las experiencias y varios aspectos culturales que podrían no ser tan conocidos por los extranjeros.

Presentado por Karl fue un resumen histórico superficial y elemental de la historia de su patria, Estonia. Entre los presentados se encontraban las verdades elementales sobre el país, incluido un puñado de declaraciones fácticas convincentes sobre algunos eventos menos reconocidos y verdades fundamentales.

Nikoleta y Martina (de Grecia e Italia respectivamente) dirigieron espectáculos de baile encantadores y distintivos. De hecho, los números fueron bastante peculiares, sin embargo, la alegría y el entusiasmo ciertamente estaban en el aire en nombre de los niños.

Por último, pero definitivamente no menos importante, se entregaron delicias ‘exóticas’ como portal, si se puede, a la experiencia rica, profunda, deslumbrante y variada, que es la cocina letona.
